JULIAN BREAM AND JOHN WILLIAMS "LIVE"
RCA Red Seal France 70+ minutes

Webmaster's note:
Julian Bream and John Williams "LIVE" CD: RCA Red Seal France 70+ minutes- Most of the LP was squeezed into one CD.
Includes all 4 sides of the double LP  except the last piece (the concert encore), Granados: Oriental, was omitted due to lack of space. Additionally, the different movements by the composer were not separated into different tracks on this CD version. Track 1 is both the Pavan and Gaillard by Johnson, etc... Only Debussy's pieces were separated into different tracks since all 3 pieces are unassociated works by the composer. This French CD has no information as to when it was manufactured. No information is provide on remastering either but it sounds close, if not identical, to the "Together" and "Together Again" CD remasterings (both were repackaged with bonus tracks from the Live album in addition to the actual recordings present on the original LPs).

Webmaster's Notes:
The information on John Williams' guitar was provided by Julian Michael Lesmana.

Webmaster's note:
In October 1978, both Julian and John undertook their first joint North American tour after having recorded two albums "together" in the recent past. The tour was short but they played to sold-out audiences in Washington, Boston, New York, Ann Arbor and Toronto. The "Live" album is comprised from the live taping of both the Symphony Hall concert in Boston, Massachusetts on October 15, and at the Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City on October 18. On October 19, both musicians and Peter Dellheim, the producer, met to review the tapes and select the pieces that would make up the final album. The tapings chosen for one composer were not always from the same concert. Also, in at least one piece, the final movement from Dolly, the final product is a combination edited from both concerts.

The entire original double LP album, until 2013, had yet to have a complete CD version. The entire contents of the LP version are now available on one disc as part of the new box set "The Complete RCA Album Collection". Before this recent box collection was available, all tracks from this particular album were in digital format but not all were necessarily easily obtainable or on the same release. The French CD release of "Live" is nearly complete (missing only Oriental by Granados) and while out of print, some copies are sometimes available through eBay. Additionally, most tracks from "LIVE" are available as bonus cuts through other CD repackaging such as the Together CDs and the newly released Julian Bream: My Favorite Albums. This 10 CD collection is a digitally remastered reproduction of the original LPs in "CD miniatures". The Live album is one of the albums represented in this box set but it is the only album in the set with tracks omitted due to space limitations of fitting the contents of a double LP album on one CD in 2010.

TOGETHER AGAIN: JULIAN BREAM  & JOHN WILLIAMS (compilation)
RCA Gold Seal. 090266145225. Released 05/25/1993
Includes the entire Together Again album with bonus selections from the "Live" album: The 2 Johnson pieces, Partie Polonaise Suite by Telemann and the 3 Debussy compositions are included on Together Again
