Webmaster's notes:
While our research shows that this television show ran from 1975-1976 with repeat airings in 1977, it appears that the show may have started earlier. There is an LP on Classics for Pleasure label printed in 1974 that was based on the series Musical Triangles that had already aired. We were not able to uncover if an LPs including Julian Bream's segment on the programme was ever available. Instead, another Julian was featured on the LP, classical guitar player Julian Byzantine. Julian Byzantine was a recording artist for Classics for Pleasure and his first LP recording for the label was released in 1975. Julian Bream was on the RCA label and likely contractual issues kept him from appearing on this compilation.
If any one has any further information on this show, please contact the julianbreamguitar.com webmaster.
Julian Bream recorded this segment for Musical Triangles around the time of his 1976 release Lute Music of John Dowland.
Most of the pieces in this programme are included on this album for RCA.
